Confidentiality Statement

At the beginning of our assessments the therapist will explain our confidentiality statement to you using these words:

“All calls are recorded for training and supervision purposes. I will also be keeping notes as we speak today. We keep everything confidential within TalkPlus, and we share updates with GP such as medication, the treatment you are offered and any risk factors.

There are circumstances in which we are required to share information with other services even without your consent such as if you disclose anything that makes us concerned about your safety or anyone else’s. This includes current or historical information.

If you are also accessing another service (e.g. social services), or have accessed another service in the past, then we might contact them too to ensure we are giving you the most appropriate care.
